Tim Levin - Founder and CEO

While growing up in New York City, Tim attended The Horace Mann School for fifteen years. After graduating from Yale College, he taught at a boarding school in Massachusetts and then at The Fieldston School in the Bronx. Prior to founding Bespoke Education, he worked in the corporate offices of Kaplan Test Prep helping to train teachers and write course curricula. He is the author of Kaplan's GRE Biology retail book, and he has been an adjunct professor in the Math and Science Departments of both SUNY's Fashion Institute of Technology and Columbia University's Teachers College. Tim also holds a Masters Degree in Education from Teachers College. For nearly twenty years, he has tutored in a variety of subject areas and for nearly every standardized test offered.

Chip Beck - Technology Director

Chip is a graduate of The Fieldston School and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Design & Technology from Parsons School of Design. Chip is a highly-skilled web designer and database developer, who has built from scratch a multi-layered database customized for Bespoke that allows us to interact with parents, students, and tutors in an unprecedented manner. Student progress on mock tests and throughout all tutoring sessions is tracked so that Bespoke can give students a personalized experience that is second-to-none. Chip is the creative force behind Bespoke's ability to communicate via the internet with our clients and staff, and he is constantly adding to Bespoke's technological capabilities.

Crystal Hill - Director of Operations

Crystal is a graduate of the Macaulay Honors College of The City University of New York where she earned a B.A. in Psychology. She has spent nearly ten years in the field of Human Resources, working for educational companies including Schoolnet, Inc. and Pearson Education on initiatives ranging from recruitment and selection, training and development, employee relations, change management and strategic corporate communications. She is currently pursuing a M.S. in Industrial & Labor Relations from Baruch College’s Zicklin School of Business. Aside from HR, Crystal has spent several years in assessment operations for Prometric, a subsidiary of Educational Testing Services (ETS), and is a former Literacy/Writing Coach and Job Readiness Instructor for K-12 and college students. Crystal manages Bespoke’s Irvington, NY office and all HR & Operations functions for Bespoke.

Ingrid Multhopp - Director of Curriculum

Ingrid earned her B.A. in English Language and Literature from the University of Chicago. For nearly twenty years, she has worked in New York City as a tutor, teacher, curriculum developer, and educational writer. She has taught and tutored in subjects ranging from English (reading, grammar, and essay writing skills) to math, biology, chemistry, and earth science. Ingrid has also helped prepare students for the SHSAT, ISEE, SAT I, SAT II, ACT, and almost every graduate school entrance exam. She has created course materials for all these tests, as well as for state-based tests administered to students in grades 3 to 11. Ingrid is the author of Kaplan's GMAT Verbal Workbook and coauthor of five other retail books for Kaplan. Aside from test preparation materials, Ingrid has also written a popular science book on fertility preservation and a fifth grade reader on superconductors and fiber optics.

Elan Naveh - Director

Elan grew up in New York, where he attended The Fieldston School and graduated from Stuyvesant High School. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Northwestern University, with a specialization in Genetics and Molecular Biology. During his college years, he did extensive laboratory work in physiology and endocrinology. Elan has tutored in and studied Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Math, and Engineering, and he is one of our resident SAT I, ACT, Biology SAT II, SHSAT, SSAT, and ISEE experts. Elan works full-time in our midtown Manhattan office, analyzing standardized tests and developing our test prep curriculum.

Mitch Bacharach - Tutoring Associate

Mitch attended Ramaz High School in Manhattan and New York University, where he received a BSc in Economics. Later, he earned an MBA from Columbia Business School. Mitch has worked for many years in sales and marketing in the high-technology and business software industries. He also runs the New York Cares volunteer SAT prep program at the Kingsbridge Heights Community Center in the Bronx. Recently, Mitch discovered triathlon. His training and competing helps keep him fit for some of the other things he loves to do, such as skiing, backpacking, and mountaineering with his son, a high school student at Trevor Day School. Mitch tutors for the SAT, ACT, ISEE, and SSAT, and in many areas of math and economics.

Sue Ciano - Tutoring Associate

Sue earned her Bachelor's degree from Binghamton University in New York, where she majored in mathematics. In addition, she is certified in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), and currently teaches at an international English school in Westchester County. Sue is excited and inspired by learning and continues to be a student of music, Spanish, Italian, Latin dancing, cooking, jewelry design and silversmithing. She is an experienced tutor for the GMAT, GRE, SAT, ACT and SAT II math exams, as well as for the ISEE, SSAT, TOEFL, GED, and NYS Math Regents exams.

Jessica Faust - Tutoring Associate
Jessica grew up in Irvington, NY, attending Irvington High School, and was graduated cum laude from Cornell University with a B.S. in Animal Science. She has been a Regents chemistry tutor and teaching assistant. At Cornell, she was also teaching assistant for animal biology, which included running lab sections, review sessions before exams, and helping students with biology homework. Jessica has also worked at the Animal Embassy in Stamford where she taught children of all ages about exotic animals. Jessica tutors students for the SAT I, SAT II, ACT and Regents exams, and in all areas of math and biology.
Danielle Frimer - Tutoring Associate
Danielle Frimer grew up in Irvington, New York and attended Irvington High School, where she was a National Merit Semi-Finalist and an Intel Science Talent Search Semi-Finalist. She graduated from Yale University with distinction in her major of Theater Studies, and was a recipient of the Branford Arts Prize for Excellence in the Performing Arts. As a professional actor, Danielle has performed at regional and off-Broadway theaters, including St. Ann's Warehouse, Playwright's Horizons, the White Plains Performing Arts Center, and Shakespeare Santa Cruz. She is currently assisting in the development of a prison performing arts program in upstate New York. During her time at Yale, she tutored students in math, science, and writing and worked in the Yale Summer Session Admissions Office. Danielle tutors students for the SAT and ACT exams, ISEE/SSAT, and in all areas of English. 
Brett Guenther - Tutoring Associate

Brett grew up in Massachusetts and went to Dover-Sherborn High School.  He holds a BS in Engineering from Dartmouth College and a BA in Biochemistry from Colby College, where he was Magna Cum Laude and participated on the college ski team. He works as a researcher for a Westchester-based biotechnology company. Brett is an experienced tutor for the IB program and for the ACT, SAT, and ISEE/SSAT exams. Brett also tutors chemistry, biology, physics, math, and for SAT 2 and AP exams in those subject areas.

Jenny Marien - Tutoring Associate

Jenny holds a B.A. in History from Yale, an M.A. in History from Indiana University, and an Ed.M and Ed.D. from Harvard University.  Jenny has taught history at the American School in Japan, The Friends School in Baltimore, a teacher training college in Poland, The Calhoun School in NYC, and Mamaroneck High School.  Most recently, she spent three years preparing future teachers at Lehman College, CUNY.  As a parent of three children, Jenny understands parent-student dynamics and enjoys helping students achieve their potential.  Jenny tutors NYS History Regents, SAT History subject tests, and general writing and history.

Ilija Markic - Tutoring Associate

"Eli" grew up in the Bronx and holds both a BS degree and a Master of Science degree from Iona College. He has taught high school science for over ten years and has been a full-time teacher at Irvington High School for five years, teaching introductory and Advanced Placement chemistry. Eli also holds a NYS certification in the teaching of biology and is an enthusiastic and talented science tutor.

BJ Markus - Tutoring Associate

BJ is a graduate of Vassar College with dual concentrations in political science and economics. During his collegiate years he was the departmental tutor specializing in both micro and macro economics theory. He earned a Masters in Public Administration with honors from Syracuse University's Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs with a focus in education policy. Currently he is completing is Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership. After a career in both federal and state politics, BJ entered the New York City Teaching Fellowship and graduated with honors with a dual specialty in elementary and middle education. BJ has been a Teacher, Dean and Assistant Principal at the elementary, middle and secondary school levels in charge of curriculum implementation, special education, and operations in New York City. He spends summers consulting on camping operations for numerous camps in Westchester. BJ tutors students in math, history, economics, and study skills, in addition to preparing them for the AP/ISEE/SSAT/SHSAT and SAT exams.

Lisa McAndrews - Tutoring Associate

Lisa grew up in Larchmont, New York and is a graduate of Mamaroneck High School.  She holds a bachelor’s degree in physics from Middlebury College as well as a JD from Boston College Law School.  Lisa served as a tutor and laboratory assistant within Middlebury’s physics department, assisting students with problem sets and lab experiments.  Following college, Lisa was a member of the mathematics and science faculty at Blair Academy and a math instructor during summer sessions at St. George’s School. She currently practices intellectual property and patent law in Westchester County. Lisa tutors students in math and physics.     

Theresa Michna - Tutoring Associate
Theresa taught students in English, ESL, math, sciences, while she lived in Vienna, Austria for nine years. She was co-editor of a major publication at the International Atomic Energy Agency (2007), and was on the staff of the US Embassy in Vienna in nuclear education. She also designed a writing curriculum for a course given to the scientific inspectors at the U.N. As an international school parent, she has served on the Executive Board of the American International School in Vienna. Prior to living abroad, Theresa was a manager in the telecommunications and publishing industries. She holds degrees from Cornell University and Indiana University in Political Science, and she earned the Cambridge Certificate in ESL. Currently, she is a member of the Adjunct Faculty at Manhattanville College in ESL. Theresa tutors students for a variety of standardized tests including SAT and ACT, and in math, writing, and history.
Mary Musolino - Tutoring Associate

Mary grew up in New York and attended the Bronx High School of Science, graduating with honors. She then graduated cum laude and with honors from Manhattan College with a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering. After working as a Chemical Engineer for several years, Mary attended graduate school at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Pace University, ultimately receiving a Master's Degree in Secondary Science Education from Pace. Mary has been a high school science teacher at Convent of the Sacred Heart in Greenwich, CT for the past 23 years. She has taught all levels of Chemistry and Science Research, and has enjoyed tutoring students both at the school and beyond. In addition to teaching, Mary has conducted research at The Rockefeller University and Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

Nina Noah - Tutoring Associate

Nina grew up in Larchmont, New York but spent her high school years in Switzerland.  She then came back to the U.S. to study at the University of Chicago, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in biology.  Nina has spent several years working in research as a research assistant at Great Sand Dunes National Park, as an intern at the Field Museum of Natural History, and most recently as a lab technician at the University of Chicago.  During and after college, Nina served as a tutoring and teaching assistant for the biology department.  She helped students with homework and led weekly discussion sections for an introductory course for biology majors, as well as a non-majors topics course in ecology.  She currently works at an educational software company, developing a web-based computer program to teach middle school students how to read non-fiction.  Nina tutors students in biology and for the Biology SAT 2.

Marianne Perez - Tutoring Associate

Marianne earned her Bachelors of Science in Foreign Service at Georgetown University and her Masters in Peace and Conflict Studies at the European Peace University in Austria. She runs trainings in peacebuilding, facilitates dialogues and campaigns for violence reduction. Her tutoring specialties include French language and literature, Spanish language, economics, government, history (American, European, World), writing, research and study skills. She prepares students for SAT2s and APs in the above subjects in addition to SAT, ACT, SSAT/ISEE, and the TOEFL. Marianne also is the Director of Bespoke's Home Schooling program.

Matthew Sporn - Tutoring Associate

Matthew grew up in Westchester and attended New Rochelle High School. He graduated with a B.S. in Biology from the University of Miami with a minor in Chemistry. While at Miami, he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity and played club roller hockey. He is currently involved in endocrine cancer research at Weill Cornell Medical Center. Matthew is a long time camp counselor at Camp Greylock where he has mentored and instructed children of all ages. He tutors in biology, chemistry, and mathematics, including SAT2 and AP exams in those subjects, and helps students with homework and organizational skills.

Nick Videen - Tutoring Associate

Nick grew up in Minneapolis and studied math, science and music at the University of Minnesota. He completed his B.M. at New England Conservatory in Boston, graduating with distinction. Nick has been teaching and tutoring for over ten years and has taught SAT and ACT prep classes for a variety of test prep companies in New York area high schools. He is also a jazz saxophonist and performs regularly in New York. Nick tutors for a variety of tests including the SAT, ACT, SSAT, SHSAT, and ISEE. He also tutors math and music and has experience working with home-schooled students in middle and high school.

Nicole Watson - Tutoring Associate

Nicole received her BA in History from Yale and her MA in history and dramatic writing from NYU’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study. Nicole has taught history at Fieldston, the Cathedral School, and Prep for Prep and has worked as a theatre artist and educator at the New York Historical Society, Tisch School of the Arts, the Lincoln Center Institute for Arts and Education, the McCarter Theatre in Princeton, and the Tribeca Film Institute. Nicole currently teaches an interdisciplinary arts/history course at the Museum of the City of New York, where she also leads professional development workshops on arts education curriculum development and is the Shakespeare director at the 52nd Street Project. Nicole tutors students in English, history, and for a variety of standardized tests including the ISEE, SSAT, and SHSAT in both math and verbal.

Rebecca Zeni - Tutoring Associate

Rebecca earned her B.S. in Physics with a minor in Chemistry from Beloit College, and she holds an M.Ed. in secondary science education from DePaul University.  She also has teaching certifications in physics, chemistry and biology.  Rebecca has done research in physics and chemistry and is a contributing author for published research on Self-Assembling Mono-Layers. Originally from Chicago, she taught integrated science at the Francis Parker Upper School, wrote curriculum for a start-up private school there and started her own tutoring company that focused specifically on math and science. Rebecca now works at a new private school in Bridgeport, CT, where she teaches chemistry and math. Rebecca tutors all levels of physics, chemistry, biology, and math, as well as for the AP, SAT, ACT, ISEE/SSAT and SAT2 exams.
