Leanne grew up in Scarsdale, NY and graduated from Vassar College with a B.A. in Psychology and departmental honors. She earned her Master's Degree in Childhood Special Education from New York University. Leanne has dual New York State teaching certification in general and special education as well as six years of experience as an elementary school classroom teacher in New York City. Leanne has been tutoring K-12 students with and without special needs for 8 years. In addition to providing academic support, Leanne specializes in behavioral issues and teaches time management, organization, and study skills. Daniel grew up on Long Island and attended Hewlett High School where he was named a National Merit Finalist and AP Scholar with Distinction. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Delaware, earning a BS in Biochemistry and BA in Liberal Studies as a Eugene duPont Memorial Scholar. Daniel holds an MFA from UNC Chapel Hill. His teaching and tutoring roles have ranged from MCAT test prep to writing to Shakespearean performance. Meghan graduated from New York University where she studied Chemistry and minored in Mathematics. As part of a dual-degree program, she also received a degree in Chemical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology. Meghan has tutored middle and high school students primarily in STEM topics with several organizations. She has also facilitated workshops for high school students in topics fundamental to careers in STEM. Originally from Houston, Billy attended Episcopal High School where he was awarded a National Merit Scholarship and the Headmaster's Award. Billy graduated from Princeton University where he studied Religion and Theater. While at Princeton, Billy supported high school students with their academic coursework and test prep. Billy tutors all sections of the SAT, ACT, ISEE, and SSAT.
A St. Louis native, Paul graduated from Brown University magna cum laude with degrees in Biology and Public Policy and earned an M.F.A. in Acting at the Yale School of Drama. Over the past few years, Paul has tutored students in biology, organic chemistry, and writing, and taught MCAT classes through Kaplan. Paul currently tutors students in biology, chemistry, math, and all sections of the ISEE, SSAT, SAT and ACT.
Robert holds degrees in Physics and Education from The University of Rochester and San Francisco State University and has completed advanced coursework at Columbia and UC Berkeley. Robert has been a physics teacher at Scarsdale High School for many years, and has instructed all levels of physics from non-Regents to Advanced Placement. Robert tutors for all levels of physics including for the AP and Subject Test, and for algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.
Jessica grew up in Irvington, NY, attended Irvington High School, and was graduated cum laude from Cornell University with a B.S. in Animal Science. At Cornell, she was a teaching assistant in the biological sciences. Jessica began working for Bespoke soon after graduation and has tutored now for many years with Bespoke in Westchester. She is currently the accounts and administration manager for her family business, Faust Harrison Pianos, in White Plains. Jessica helps prepare students for the SAT I, SAT II, ACT and Regents exams, with specializations in math and biology.
Donna earned a Masters of Science in Elementary Education from Hunter and a Bachelor's degree from University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Donna is a long-time teacher at the Spence School in Manhattan where she received the Margaret Duckett Award for outstanding teaching, and has extensive experience as a kindergarten through 8th grade tutor. She tutors for all sections of SSAT and ISEE tests.
Kara grew up near Seattle, where she earned a National Merit Scholarship and won the national Superbowl of High School Calculus. She attended Brigham Young University on its prestigious Hinckley Scholarship, where she received a BFA in Music-Dance-Theatre and a minor in Mathematics. As a musical theatre performer, Kara toured and taught workshops to children of all ages across the United States, as well as in China, Hong Kong, Mexico and the Caribbean Islands. Kara tutors all levels of mathematics, provides homework help, and prepares students for all sections of the ISEE, SHSAT, SSAT, SAT and ACT. She also teaches SAT and ACT classes in Bespoke's offices. She was most recently seen onstage as Pinkalicious in off-Broadway's Pinkalicious the Musical, and is now enjoying raising her own little girls.
Cameron received a B.A. in English from Princeton University, where he was awarded the Mary John Goree Creative Writing Scholarship as well as Princeton's premier creative arts prize, the Alex Adam '07 Award. Cameron began tutoring various subjects back home in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, including Biology and English. Cameron currently works with students on developing, writing, and editing their college essays, and teaches all sections of the ISEE, SSAT, ACT and SAT.
Originally from West Virginia, Mitchel attended Yale University where he received a B.A. in Theater Studies with distinction. While at Yale he sang with the world-famous Whiffenpoofs and performed throughout the United States and on all seven continents. He then studied at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. He enjoys using test prep to not only help students raise their scores but also improve their study skills and gain confidence in their schoolwork. Mitchel provides academic support for writing and prepares students for the SAT, ACT, ISEE, and SSAT.
Nate graduated from Yale University with degrees in History and Theater Studies. He has taught SAT classes at Poly Prep in Brooklyn and SAT/ACT prep courses at Bespoke's offices. Nate focuses on demystifying the daunting process of test-preparation and helps each student achieve his or her maximum potential in an engaging environment. As a professional actor, Nate toured with the national company of The Lion King and appeared on HBO's Boardwalk Empire. Lisa grew up in Larchmont, New York and is a graduate of Mamaroneck High School. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in physics from Middlebury College as well as a JD from Boston College Law School. Lisa served as a tutor and laboratory assistant within Middlebury’s physics department, assisting students with problem sets and lab experiments. Following college, Lisa was a member of the mathematics and science faculty at Blair Academy and a math instructor during summer sessions at St. George’s School. As a multisport varsity athlete in high school and a rower on Middlebury's crew team through all four years of college, Lisa is especially aware of the unique demands put upon scholar athletes. Penka received her MS degree in Physics from Boston College. While at Boston College, Penka worked as a teaching assistant for undegraduate and graduate courses in Physics, a Research Assistant and a Physics tutor. Currently, Penka teaches in a private high school in Connecticut and is adjunct professor in the Physical Sciences Department at Westchester Community College. Jessica is a Florida native and holds a BA, magna cum laude, in Child Developmental Psychology from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH. During her years in college, she spent her free time tutoring local students of all ages in math and reading. After college, Jessica applied for Foreign Expert Certification and moved to Xi’an, China to be an English professor. Ida graduated from Wellesley College magna cum laude with a dual degree in English and Sociology, and received both her M.A. (English and American Literature) and Ph.D. (American Literature) from Boston University. She has delivered papers at scholarly conferences both nationally and internationally, and has had critical work published by Oxford University Press and Leviathan. In addition to her ten years of experience teaching writing and English courses in a university setting, Ida has worked for six years as the Writing Elective Director and college counselor for high school students with the Great Books Summer Program at Amherst College and Stanford University. Since moving to New York in 2011, Ida has worked as a college essay specialist, test prep counselor, and academic tutor for middle and high school students. Ida’s specialties and interests include academic tutoring in literature, English, writing, and history, as well as preparing students for the SAT, ACT, ISEE, SSAT, SHSAT, and Literature and History APs and Subject Tests.
Jeremy began his undergraduate studies at Penn State University as an Environmental Engineering major. He graduated magna cum laude from Muhlenberg College with a B.A. in Theatre and a minor in Business Administration. At Muhlenberg, he worked as a tutor in Financial Accounting. Noah received a B.A. from Dartmouth College where he created a special major that combined the Theater and Music curricula to better study the art and business of the Broadway Musical. He was the valedictorian of his high school in Southwest Florida, and was the statewide individual Mock Trial champion for two years. Noah has worked with students ranging from middle school to college; he prepares them for a variety of standardized tests and subjects, including math through calculus and all sections of the SAT and ACT.
Alex grew up in Westchester County and graduated from Boston University with a B.A. in Biology and a minor in Psychology. He then earned an M.Ed in Science Education from UMass Boston. Alex has been tutoring standardized test prep for over 10 years in both Boston and New York and taught high school chemistry and AP Environmental Science in New York City. He is currently a Director of Science Education in Westchester. Alex tutors all sections of the ISEE, SSAT, SAT, and ACT, as well as AP Biology, Chemistry and Environmental Science.
Kierstyn graduated from Stanford University with a BA in Human Biology with a concentration in Global Women's Health. She is currently pursuing her Postbaccalaureate Premedical Certification at Columbia University. Kierstyn tutors for all sections of the SAT and ACT, as well as all levels of math and biology.
Benny grew up outside of Cleveland and studied biotechnology at Kent State University, where he graduated cum laude. As an undergraduate, he worked for the Department of Energy researching fuel cells at Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee. Benny earned a Master of Engineering degree at Washington University in St. Louis, where he researched algal biofuel and took courses focused on energy efficiency, environmental sustainability and business. After working in the pharmaceutical industry, he has decided to focus on tutoring and teaching. Benny is currently an adjunct professor of chemistry at F.I.T. and tutors geometry, algebra, all levels of Biology and Chemistry, and for all sections of the SHSAT, ISEE, and SSAT.
Nick grew up in Minneapolis and studied math, science and music at the University of Minnesota. He completed his B.M. at New England Conservatory in Boston, graduating with distinction. Nick has been teaching and tutoring for over ten years and has taught SAT and ACT prep classes for a variety of test prep companies in New York area high schools. He is also a jazz saxophonist and performs regularly in New York. Nick tutors all sections of the SAT, ACT, ISEE, SSAT, SHSAT and SAT Math Subject Tests. Ellen Weiser holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the CUNY Graduate Center and a B.S. in Chemistry from City College of New York. Ellen also is a high school graduate of The Bronx High School of Science and is currently the Science Department Chair at Pace University in Westchester. With many years of college teaching and tutoring high school and college students, Ellen knows how to help students approach and master challenging subjects in chemistry. Amy grew up in Westchester County and graduated with honors from the College of William & Mary, where she majored in International Relations and minored in Mathematics. As a Fulbright Scholar, she studied at Uppsala University in Sweden, completing a quantitative analysis thesis in Peace and Conflict studies. Amy earned an MA and JD from Fordham University and has worked in both corporate law and as a researcher in international human rights law. Jordan grew up in Hastings-on-Hudson, NY and attended Brown University where he was a volunteer tutor in the Providence schools. After graduating from Brown with a B.A. in Anthropology, Jordan taught and designed curriculum for SAT test prep classes at Kaplan in locations as varied as Seoul, South Korea, Bangkok, Thailand, and White Plains, New York. He tutors for all SAT2 and AP history exams, ISEE, SSAT, SAT, ACT, GMAT, LSAT and GRE exams; he has taught ESL, TOEIC, TOEFL, and math enrichment courses in South Korea as well.
